AI Use in Coursework: Syllabus Policy Statement Options

As we navigate the integration of Artificial Intelligence tools in our educational endeavors, it's important to align their use with academic integrity and privacy considerations. Below are options for incorporation into syllabi, designed to accommodate diverse instructional approaches and encourage responsible engagement with AI technologies.

Regardless of the option chosen, all students are expected to adhere to the principles of academic integrity, critically assess the role and output of AI in their work, and stay informed on evolving best practices through library.augie.edu/AIAU.

Below is a continuum of sample language you may adopt/adapt for your own policy to suit the needs of your course.
