Augie Alumni Spotlight

Adam Dompierre graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Psychology before earning a Master of Education degree from Augustana University in 2022. He is currently a high school English teacher in Marquette, MI. Dompierre's debut novel, Wild Bolts Electric, marks the beginning of his literary career, with his second novel, Paint An Inch Thick, set to be released in 2025. 

Wild Bolts Electric is a supernatural suspense novel. The story follows James, an ordinary man with a steady job at a gym and a seemingly typical life, whose world turns upside down when an unsusual and persistent stranger begins to stalk him. Desperate for answers, James enlists Victor Drake, a struggling private investigator, to uncover the truth behind the stalker, who appears to possess paranormal abilities. Dompierre's short story prequel, In Rain and Sun, is also available on his website.
