Reach for a Sweet Read!

From March 1-31, help us create a mountain of sweets by adding a gumball to our gumball display for each book, textbook chapter, or academic article you read!

The Mikkelsen Library is joining the Everybody Reads challenge sponsored Siouxland Libraries and the Sioux Falls District. The community goal is 350,000 books and if we make it, a $1,700 donation will be made to REACH Literacy, a nonprofit that provides literacy instruction and experiences for adult and youth readers each year.

Throughout the month of March students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to stop by the library and write the number of books, textbook chapters and academic articles that you read on a gumball and add it to the gumball machine display. There is also an online form to submit your reading stats and we will add your gumballs to the display.
