Caught in the Lye is a murder mystery set in the small town of Day, Minnesota. The story unfolds in a lutefisk processing shop during the hectic post-Christmas season when a colleague is discovered dead in a vat of fish and lye. Rookie deputy Nick Nordin and the town's new mortician, Megan Perry, must unravel the mystery and uncover the truth behind the suspicious death. Amidst the investigation (and plenty of small-town Minnesotan humor) Nick and Megan find themselves drawn to each other, discovering love while they seek justice.
