This is the first year Mikkelsen Library joined the Everybody Reads challenge sponsored Siouxland Libraries and the Sioux Falls District. The community goal was to read 350,000 books during the month of March.

We knocked it out of the park with a total of 408,936 books read! AU contribute 3,129 to the total!

The Sioux Falls community's dedication and enthusiasm for reading unlocked a $1,700 donation will be made to REACH Literacy, a nonprofit that provides literacy instruction and experiences for adult and youth readers each year.
