Streaming Media Resources: Get Started

Sources for streaming video and audio.

NEW Streaming Video Resource

Kanopy Video Streaming Service is an on-demand streaming video service for educational institutions that provides students and faculty with access to more than 26,000 films each year.

What is streaming media?

Streaming media is video or audio content sent in compressed form over the Internet and played immediately, rather than being saved to the hard drive. With streaming media, a user does not have to wait to download a file to play it.

Authenticated Access

Some of the library's streaming resources, contain purchased or licensed content that is limited to authorized Augustana and Sioux Falls Seminary students, faculty, and staff.
When accessing one of these resources from off-campus, a screen will appear asking you to authenticate through the proxy server. You do this by using your Moodle/myaugie username and password.
