About the Artist

Carl Grupp (1939-2019) recieved his M.F.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington and his B.F.A. from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He also did undergraduate study at the School of Associated Arts in St. Paul, MN and at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. Grupp won many awards and distinctions including Who's Who in American Art and numerous other local and national awards. His work is in the collections of the Chicago Art Institute, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the South Dakota Art Museum, Brookings, South Dakota, and in many other local and national museums. He specialized in printmaking, drawing, and watercolor.
