Gerry Punt ('78) has held various distinguished roles in the art community, including serving as an artist-in-residence at Augustana University, an instructor of ceramics and sculpture at Northwestern College, and as an assistant professor of art at Augustana University. He has presented numerous workshops and participated in various exhibitions, with recent highlights including the USD Claywork Ceramics invitational, a joint show with Julie Punt and Marianne Larsen at the Eide? Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University, the Willard Gallery at Kansas State University, and another joint show with Julie Punt and Marianne Larsen at the Koch, Hazard, Baltzer Architecture Firm. His work has also been featuresd in the Faculty Art Exhibit at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University.
Gerry has earned numerous awards for his artistic contributions, including the Center for Western Studies' "Artist of the Plains" People's Choice Award in Sioux Falls and recognition as one of the "South Dakota Selects" at the Governor's Night in Pierre, South Dakota, among others.
