D. George Prisbe-Przbysz is a renowned South Dakotan artist, best known for his ability to capture the sweeping majesty of the prairie in his paintings. He completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Stare University in Aberdeen, SD, and went on to earn a master's degree in art from Ohio University in  Athens, where he specialized in painting and printmaking, As one of the original  members of the South Dakota Arts Council's Artists-in-the-Schools program, Prisbe-Przbysz has been instrumental in bringing art education to communities across South Dakota. He and his wife, Pat, reside in the Black Hills, where he continues to pursue his passion for painting.
