Laron McGinn resides in Nebraska, where he combines his passion for painting with managing his family's ranch. He specializes in drawing and painting, using alkyd and acrylic paints to produce bold, textured artworks that are vibrant with color. One of his notable pieces, "Summer Solstice," was donated to the Mikkelsen Library by the daughters of Frayne Anderson, then director of the library, along with another staff member and four students.
