Peter Lipman-Wulf (1905-1993) was an acclaimed European artist, celebrated for his expertise in sculpture and wood carving. Although religiously Protestant, his family was ethnically Jewish, forcing them to flee Nazi Germany to France during World War II. Lipman-Wulf later sought asylum in Switzerland before emigrating to the United States, where he settled on Long Island. In addition to his artistic work, he wrote poetry and exhibited his art internationally throughout his life.
