John E. Simko ('61) is a well-known figure in the Augustana community, recognized for his exceptional athletic achievements. He excelled in football, basketball, tennis, and track, earning the opportunity to try out for the NFL. After graduating, Simiko pursued a legal career, becoming an attorney and later serving as a judge in Sioux Falls. In retirement, he has turned his attention to photography.
