John Henry Peters ('76) is the Gallery and Liturgical Arts Coordinator at Augustana University. He holds an M.F.A. in sculpture from the University of Illinois, School of Art and Design, Champaign-Urbana, and a B.A. in art from Augustana College. Currently, he works part-time at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery, where he assists wwith exhibitions and manages the permanent art collection. In addition, he collaborates with the Hovland Center of Liturgical Arts, photographing and electronically cataloging church art and architecture in the Sioux Falls area. John has extensive teaching experience in various subjects, including design, 3-D design, humanities through the arts, art history, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, painting, art education, and introduction to art, as well as Box Art. His artwork can be found in numerous locations, including many churches in Sioux Falls, Sandford Children's Hospital, Heart Hospital, Minnehaha County Courthouse, Sioux Falls Environmental Offices, East Bank Gallery, and Augustana's Mikkelsen Library.
